If you have decided to take up the enjoyable hobby of photography, you might be wondering what camera you should get. You might also consider a tripod, and certainly a bag to carry your camera. Here are my recommendations: –
Camera
I can highly recommend the Nikon D5300.
It is the camera I currently use, and have been using since 2016. Below are a couple of recent photographs I have taken with this camera, this should give you a good idea of the image quality.
Bag
I am using the Jessops Tecno protective camera bag, it is no longer available, however you may be able to find them on ebay. It is easy to carry and with a number of velcro dividers you can create compartments to hold your camera and 1 or 2 lenses.
For traveling further you might also consider an backpack. One to consider is the Manfrotto ProLight Redbee 310
Tripod
You will certainly need a tripod, especially if you want to take photos of the moon or other long exposure shots. For this I recommend the Manfrotto MT190XPRO along with the Manfrotto MHXPRO-3W X-Pro 3-Way Head
